Hello

I’m Nicole. I’m originally from Essex County in beautiful southern Ontario, where my appreciation for nature first began to take shape. I’ve been involved in art for many years, exploring different mediums and styles, but more recently I’ve found a deeper connection through pyrography—the art of wood burning.

There’s something incredibly meaningful about working with natural materials. I’m especially drawn to repurposing old or forgotten pieces, giving them new life and a renewed sense of purpose. Whether it’s a salvaged piece of wood or part of a tree with its own history, I love transforming it into something unique and lasting.

Nature continues to be my greatest source of inspiration. The textures, patterns, and quiet beauty of the outdoors influence every piece I create, allowing each work to tell its own story.

Through my art, I hope to share that connection—to create pieces that feel organic, personal, and full of character. I’m excited to share my journey with you and grateful to have you be a part of it.

My Story

Growing up, I was fortunate to travel with my family each year, exploring both new and familiar places. From historic landmarks and diverse architecture to mountain peaks, rolling pastures, and oceans in between, I was continually inspired by the beauty our world has to offer. Immersing myself in different cultures and landscapes sparked my lifelong passion for art, deeply rooted in nature and the great outdoors.

While pursuing my Bachelor of Arts, I embraced experimentation with raw and natural materials, allowing my creativity and imagination to flourish. I discovered beauty in the unexpected — broken bricks, scattered stones, glass shards, handfuls of dirt, and fallen leaves. From welding to woodworking, I have always challenged myself to learn new skills and hold my work to the highest standards.

Today, I seek a quieter kind of beauty — a slower, more grounded way of living. I spend my days walking through the bush, observing wildlife, foraging mushrooms in season, and working in the garden with bare feet and bare hands. Alongside our two black labs and a flock of hens, I’ve found deep peace in living simply and intentionally.
